Radio Gutenberg

Radio Gutenberg Audio Books

The Gutenberg Project has been around since 1971 scanning in the text from books. Now they are beginning to make audio versions of the books available. Now you can add some books to your iPod.

Simputer

Amida Simputer

This is the first PDA that I've seen in a while that is different. There are a number of features this little box has that other PDA's don't have. One in particular is the guesture feature -- the device can detect motion. So, as you move the PDA it responds by closing windows or flipping pages. Oh, did I mention it's running on Linux?

NSF DL Futures

Just received this in email from CNI email list.

The final report from the Chatham, Cape Cod NSF-sponsored workshop that was held in June 2003 is now available on the conference web site, www.sis.pitt.edu/~dlwkshop, under the tab "final report". The workshop brought together a group to look at the future research agenda for digital libraries and related areas. There is a wealth of other material available there as well; I've previously mentioned the attendee background papers on this list.

This is a Shower!

NEW Premier Integrated Shower System

Now this is a shower stall!! Wow - Rain Head, Body Jets, plus an adjustable nozzle. Only problem, they're only available in the UK right now. I'll keep this on the wish list...
