Visualization of Web Based Information and Sense Making by James A. Levin & Daniel A. Kauwell
"... To help people make sense of this overload of information, we have developed a heuristic-based approach to the visualization and sense making of information returned by a web search. With our software tool, a user can more easily "see" the information space returned by a web search, view more easily how the sites and the documents within the sites are related to each other, and manipulate that information into a form more useful to the user. ..."
Dan gave me a couple demo's of this project early on. I like the interface and information presentation in the VisIT tool better than the TouchGraph Google Browser.
